China Foreign Exchange Trade System (CFETS) published that CFETS RMB Index on 30 August 2024 closed at 97.95, losing 1.32% from the end of last month.

In order to facilitate the market to observe the change of RMB effective exchange rate from different perspectives, CFETS also published RMB indices based on BIS currency basket and SDR currency basket respectively. On 30 August 2024, the above two indices closed at 103.67 and 92.86 respectively, losing 1.59% and 0.97% from the end of last month.
